What’s your all-time favourite album.

This is a difficult question. I’m not including any compilation albums or movie soundtracks. I’m going to show you the album covers that got a lot of play from me as I was growing up. I only really bought albums in the nineties. It was a very confusing time for me. I didn’t have direction, I didn’t have purpose, and I didn’t have a goal…. Maybe I still don’t. But, back then, it BOTHERED me. I think I was angry, or at least… I wanted to be angry, because I thought I was supposed to be angry.

I guess I would have to pick The Rage Against The Machine album as my all-time favourite. I almost never listen to it nowa days, but it really impacted me as a kid, and it still resonates deep down in my soul.

Fun fact. My oldest son is named after the lead singer of Rage Against The Machine.

Lots of love

Create an emergency preparedness plan.

Ummm…. Well, what exactly am I preparing for…?

*No answer*

Okay so food, water, shelter, heat…. Maybe mobility, at least initially.

The idea is to make a sustainable environment, preferably within a community. Generally speaking life is easier with other people around. A huge factor is knowing how long you are going to be in a state of emergency. For short term emergences, you could just pack a “go bag”. It would look like a camping backpack. And you would pack it similarly.

For long term emergencies, you need to think about a destination. Some place with a somewhat steady source of food, water, shelter, and heat. As previously stated. Luckily, North America has tons of that. Clothing is tricky, but you don’t need much.

Remember the rule of three. You can go without air for 3 minutes. You can go without water for 3 days. You can go with out food for 30 days. These are general guidelines, your mileage may vary. Being uncomfortable can’t kill you, so focus on the important things.

Other people, are important. Sharing is caring.

This is what Friz-Knock looks like.

What are your top ten favourite movies?

In no particular order, and I am worried that I have forgotten some….

  • Matrix
  • Fight Club
  • The Bourne Identity
  • The Dark Crystal
  • District 9
  • O Brother, Where Art Thou
  • Juno
  • Max Max: Fury Road
  • Rise of the Planet of the Apes
  • Wall-E

I cut a lot of movie that I didn’t really want to. These ones are almost alphabetical because I was going through my movie binder, which is in alphabetical order.

It’s strange, movies deserve context. How mature was I when I saw that movie? Is the movie a small part in a greater picture? Was I sad when I watched that movie? Happy? Angry? All these things figure into it. But…

I have been told that I do have a good instinct when it comes to picking movies, and I’m inclined to believe anything nice that is said about me.

This picture is from the video game Sea of Thieves.

If you could open a shop, what would you sell?

I think space, and time.

Opening a storage facility has been a daydream of mine for the last while. I think it could be expanded to include the latest in vending machine technology, and arcade opportunities. And, maybe even a coffin hotel. My goal would be to automate the entire thing.

These ideas could even be used to help fight homelessness.

But, maybe I’m getting away from the spirit of the question. Maybe they want me to talk about what I could sell passionately. Like comic books, because I’m a nerd. The one job I had that I loved above all others was ripping tickets at a movie theatre. It is tough to figure out how to sell that.

Unrelated picture of my Halo: Infinite character. Very Cyber punk isn’t it? 😎

What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

In the World? Not much. I guess a little more understanding that people are people. Everyone in on a journey, and you really have no idea where the other person IS in that journey….

Be cautious, and don’t risk anything that you can’t afford to loose. BUT…. the things you CAN afford to loose??!!! Hand that shit out like candy, other people need it.

Other things I want my blog to do is, help me learn how to type faster. And, help me learn how to write better. Help my kids to understand who their dad is. …. I think that’s it. ✌️
